In Luxembourg, Dexia donates 100 PCs and 60 screens to the South cluster Association as part of its Computers for Africa project.

On 14 December Dexia BIL donated 100 PCs sand 60 screens to the South Cluster association as part of its Computers for Africa project. The aim of this project is to enable the installation of 40,000 computers in African secondary schools between now and 2015.

This equipment, no more than 5 years old and able to function for another five years depending on the climate, has been collected from businesses in industrialised countries which are renewing their IT equipment.
The PCs are reconditioned before being transported in containers to the African countries and dispatched by local partners to the recipient schools.

More specifically, the computers and screens given by Dexia BIL will be sent to the Democratic Republic of Congo so as to be dispatched to the schools of Lubumbashi.
