Dexia Bank Belgium has two distribution networks: on the one hand an employee network and on the other a network of limited liability cooperatives ("sociétés coopératives à responsabilité limitée" – SCRL) each of which manages several branches of Dexia Bank.
 
Structure of the employee network
 
Members of staff working in these branches are employees of Dexia Bank and have the opportunity to perform other functions within the company.
There are specialists working in each branch who, by virtue of their skills, their knowledge of business and above all their understanding of the clients’ expectations, bring life to the latter’s projects.
 
Structure of the Limited Liability Cooperative Company (SCRL)
 
The SCRL, generally called a star structure, is composed of directors/partners with freelance status. This results in a partnership that allows specialists to circulate through the different branches managed by the SCRL.
 
A star is a unit of 15 to 30 persons, together forming a close team with clear-cut sales targets. Within that team, each person has his/her speciality and target clients: self-employed, SMEs, investments, savings products, insurance… Each branch has its all-round sales staff, who have the necessary insight into human nature to accurately guide the clients.
A team of sales staff, remunerated by the SCRL, supports the directors in their daily tasks as bankers.
